U_S_+Army+[Emblem][Military+Insignia+3D][1_5]

Bruce Leon Morgan, 64, of El Dorado, Arkansas, quietly departed this life and strolled through the gates of Heaven on Monday, July 18, 2016. Bruce was born on December 14, 1951, in St Louis, Missouri, the third child of Rev Judson Morgan and Dolores Neill Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Judd Morgan of El Dorado, Arkansas, Rev Mark Morgan Sr. of Drew, Mississippi, and one nephew, Rev. Mark Morgan Jr. of Tupelo, Mississippi. Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Judith Bledsoe (Robert) of El Dorado, Arkansas, four nieces, Teresa Eby (Kevin) of Bryant, Arkansas, Lora Gipson (Michael), Shannon Morgan, and Erin Grady (Lee), all of Saltillo, Mississippi, two nephews, Brent Bledsoe (Suzanne) of Junction City, Arkansas, and John Morgan (Rachel) of Saltillo, Mississippi.

Bruce served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Because of the injuries he sustained, both physically and emotionally, Bruce suffered much during his earthly journey; but on Saturday evening, November 29, 2014, Bruce began another tour of duty as a soldier of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. From that moment forward he was truly a changed person. Although his physical sufferings never diminished, Bruce marched on with a smile on his face. He had a servant’s heart and ministered cheerfully to others during his remaining tenure on earth. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorial services will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, July 30, 2016, in the Chapel of the First Baptist Church of El Dorado, Arkansas, with Rev. Jonathan Kelley and Rev. Brian Trostle officiating.

Memorials may be made to the benevolence fund at First Baptist Church, El Dorado, or to Life Touch Hospice, El Dorado.
