Sylvia was a special person. I first remember seeing her singing in the chancel choir of Grand Avenue Methodist Church. She had a lovely voice. Later in life we worked together at Area Agency on Aging: our lives picked up and we began visiting and we also worked at Emerald Isle in Hot Springs. We shared a love for animals. Sylvia would cook for me when I was sick – and YES, she was a very good cook.
Mary Benson was a mutual friend who worked at Emerald Isle also and although she does not have a computer she asked me to share our comments on this page. Mary grew up living next door to the Ripleys off Park Avenue. Mary also lived many years in Chicago and saw a lot of both Sandra and Sylvia. Mary and I share our sorrow in the loss of a good friend. Our prayer is that God will give you the strength and courage that only HE can give. Pat Muse and Mary Benson: Hot Springs, AR
