Jessie James Stivers, Jr., 75

Jessie James Stivers, Jr., 75, of Sherwood passed away on January 4, 2018.  He was born on January 12, 1942 in Bald Knob, Arkansas to the late Jessie James, Sr. and Bessie Mae Stivers.

He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and a 32nd Degree Mason.

He is preceded in death by a daughter Miracle Ann Stivers, a son Ricky Stivers, a sister Jane Gray and two brothers John and Joseph Stivers.

Jessie is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Barbara Stivers; ; a son Jason Stivers of Jacksonville; a daughter Lisa Olson of Danville; seven grandchildren Rachae Stivers, Josh Stivers, Ashley Olson, Miracle Stivers, Tabby Stivers, Ricky Stivers, Jr. and Traci Olson and one great-grandchild Tyler Bradley.  He will be missed by his two sisters Juanita Loy of Bismark and Julie Pipkin of Cabot and one brother Jerrel Stivers of Jacksonville.

A visitation will be held Monday, January 8, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main, Jacksonville, Arkansas.

A funeral will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at A Natural State Funeral Service with burial to follow at Harmony Cemetery, 865 Highway 89 South, Sherwood, Arkansas.

    So sorry for the families loss. I have lots of memories of Uncle Bub. The best memory was he gave me away to his nephew David Ray when we were marrried. He will be miss so very much.

    So sorry to learn of Jesses` passing.I remember spending the night with Julie and Jayne, seeing all of their siblings. I will always have the memories of Juanita, Julie, Jayne, Jerrel, and John. Those were some good times. My thoughts and Prayers go out to the family.
