Preston Allen Lea, 65, of Jacksonville passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Preston was born on April 30, 1950 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Lea.

Preston was the assistant mailroom manager for The Leader for over 10 years and loved his job. He had a passion for helping others, living his life with a generous heart. Preston loved attending church and worshipping his Lord.

He is survived by his significant other of 11 years, Kay Johns, who was the love of his life; three children, John, Melanie and Amanda.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Serenity Gardens in Jacksonville at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends starting at 10:00 a.m. at A Natural State Funeral Service Chapel 2620 West Main Street Jacksonville. www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com

    Preston was a genuine friend and had the most generous spirit that I’ve ever known. He would always encourage me with scriptures and songs of Faith, Hope and Love! I will never forget you, my friend!! Rejoicing with you as you rest in the arms of Jesus!!!

    Preston never wanted anything out of life but to serve the Lord. I was blessed to know Preston during the good and bad times while he praised God through it all. A wonderful man who will be missed.
