Anthony Sheaffer Mayfield, 27, of Perryville passed away on February 10th, 2016. He was born on January 24, 1989 to Diana Lynn Mayfield in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul S. Mayfield.

Anthony was an avid outdoorsman, whom loved life and loved his dog, Boss more than anything. He was a member of the Bow Fishers of Arkansas Association and Ducks Unlimited. Anthony was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed playing the drums at his church. He also played drums in high school, attended three years of college and was a welder.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Diana Lynn Mayfield of Greenbrier; brother, Justin Hunter Wooten; sister, Lindsey Dawn Wooten; grandmother, Anna Lee Mayfield of Beebe; uncle, Bucky Mayfield of Searcy; aunt, LeeAnna (Danny) Disotell of Cabot.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Street Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076.

    My thoughts and prayers are with you Diana, Lindsey, Justin, and family. Tony was always so much fun to be around in the short period of time that I lived in Oppelo, he would come over to Matt’s house often, and every time he was there he had us all laughing. I am deeply sorry for yalls loss, he will be greatly missed by many many people all around.

    I was saddened to hear this. Anthony was in the same class as one of my sons. I heard countless stories about Anthony through the years. He was well liked and will be missed. Prayers for his family and friends. I am so sorry you have to face this.

    Anthony, u were the best guy friend we could ask for. You always were so fun, adventurous, talented, and so much more. Annalee is truly blessed to have you as a son and know she will miss you greatly. We will miss you so much. You will be forever be in our hearts. We were so blessed to have gotten to be your friend.
