Alfred LeRoy Keese obit

Alfred LeRoy Keese, 75, of Hot Springs Village, born June 2, 1940, passed away on April 21, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Alice Keese; sister, Lola Kauffman of Concord, North Carolina, and son, Christopher Matthew Monson. Alfred proudly served in the United States Air Force. He loved waterskiing, fishing, and boating with the grandchildren. He also had a love of family history research and traveling with his wife. Alfred was associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and served with his wife as a local missionary for three years just prior to his death.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Carolyn Stephenson Keese; children, Cherie Marie Rougtenberg (Mike) of Washington State, Cartlund Monson (Monica) of Mercer Island, Washington, Carlton Monson of Kirkland Washington, Carolyn Hiatt (Roger) of Little Rock Arkansas, and Camille Jenson (Will) of Salt Lake City, Utah; twelve grandchildren, and brother, James Keese (Betty) of Wintersett, Des Moines, Iowa.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 10am at the Stake Center for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 13901 Quail Run Drive, Little Rock Arkansas.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service 2620 West Main Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400

    Al was a true gentleman, wonderful missionary and a above all a fabulous husband and father. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.

    What a great man I always enjoin our talks and one day he let me ride a Tennessee walker. I was use to quarter horse or mules that was in marshal town Iowa 1956 at family reunion God bless and rest in peace

    Through the years when you visited the PM Ward, I always remember Al with a grandchild on his lap. He always looked so content with those little children around him. He will be greatly missed! Our thoughts and prayers are with you!

    Our deepest sympathy and prayer support! Al was our home teacher and we always enjoyed his visits. He also helped us with family history and computer knowledge. He was a kind-hearted man who made everyone feel so much at ease. It was a privilege to know him. Love and prayers for comfort and strength.

    Carolyn and Family, Im so sorry to hear about Al. Wayne and I really enjoyed being with your family and fun times. Im sure that both of our guyes are catchine up on times we had.Lots have happened in our lives that change getting together such as a partner death or just a move.     My wife Val has explained a what a stake funeral is share is a direct descendant of Joseph Smith she loved Alfred so much and she had great talks about her heritage with Alfred please he is in the highest kingdom in heaven

    Carolyn, words can’t adequately express the sadness we have felt since learning of the death of our dear friend, Al. His gentle nature and kind smile made him so easy so love. His passion for and dedication to family history were reflected in his eagerness to help others. He was always there for us when we needed his help, and we treasured his friendship.
