Hobart “Bart” Preston Newsom, 63, of Sherwood passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016. He was born on May 11, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Preston Wiley Newsom and Ella Mae Bibb. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Bart is survived by his sister, Nancy Wade (Jimmy) of Cabot; nephew, Mark Wade (Leigh) of Cabot; niece, Meleah Wade of Cabot.
He is a member of Open Door Community Church in Sherwood. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Open Door Community Church in his honor.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tim Woodard for all he did for Bart.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., A Natural State Funeral Service Chapel 2620 West Main Street Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400.

So sorry to hear of Bart’s passing. He was a good friend and it was my honor to provide him transportation from time to time to church at Open Door Community Church. My prayers and sympathy to his family and friends.
