Sandra Mae Gitschlag, 69, of Jacksonville went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 23, 2016. She was born on February 13, 1947 in Columbus, Ohio to Forrest Robison and Goldie Mae Bocook. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Clarence Gitschlag; parents, DeRoy Tadlock and Goldie Robison.

Sandra loved her family and treasured spending time with them. She also enjoyed cooking for her family as well as others she loved. Sandra volunteered many hours at Worley Place and enjoyed every minute.

Sandra leaves behind to cherish her memories, her children; Karen Slash (Robert) of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Richard Gitschlag (Cathy) of Missouri, Steven Gitschlag (Angela) of Colorado, David Gitschlag of Colorado, Chris Gitschlag (Danielle) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four siblings, Linda Trott (Doug) of Columbus, Ohio, Jerry Tadlock of Columbus, Ohio, Steven Tadlock (Terri) of Vilonia, Arkansas and Tammy Epperson of Columbus, Ohio.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at A Natural State Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at Kirk Cemetery in Kirk Colorado.

    While I did not get to spend time with Sandy over the years there were many times I thought of her and our younger days. Many family members in Ohio will miss her. As older sisters go, she was alright.
