Kenneth Roy Neely, 61, of El Dorado, went into the loving arms of the Lord on October 18, 2016 after a sudden illness at Life Touch Hospice.  Kenneth was born in Camden, Arkansas on April 4, 1955 to Jack Neely and Ruth McGaugh Neely.

Kenneth was owner and operator of Neely Heating and Air for 21 years and was well liked by all his customers.  He was an avid fisherman and hunter of deer, turkeys and squirrels.  He loved going to the mountains in the spring and “the camp” in the fall to hunt.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Sydney Neely.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 42 years, Shannon Pratt Neely; his brother, Dan Neely (Ruby); his sisters, Linda King (Jr.) and Kathy McElroy (Mitch); sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Manus (Dennis) and Barbara Troop (Jerry); nephews, Chris Neely (Alicia) and Kevin King (Miranda); nieces, Becky Brantley (Jamie), Tammy Powell and Amy Hulsey (Alex); as well as several great nieces and nephews; his special friend and employee, Teri Robinson; along with his four-legged foot warmer, Ginger.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2016 in the sanctuary with a celebration of his life immediately following at First Christian Church, 420 N. Madison, El Dorado, with Bro. Bob Inman and Bro. James Neely officiating. 

Memorials may be made to Life Touch Hospice, 2301 Champagnolle Road, El Dorado, Arkansas 71730 or the charity of your choice.

    Sorry for your loss. He was very nice and was younger than me and older than Sheila my sister when we all went to Union School years ago. and I remember him as a quiet, polite person. God bless at this difficult time.

    Sorry for your loss, enjoyed doing business with Kenneth, which always started out with a cup of coffee and a hunting or fishing story.

    Shannon, we are so sorry for your great loss. You may or may not remember us as neighbors on 5th street when you were in elementary school. We saw Mary Lou’s post about Kenneth that she put on FB.
