Sue Ellen Allen, 66, of Smackover passed from this life on Saturday, October 15, 2016.  She was born on October 25, 1949 in Smackover to the late Charlie Holmes and late Ruby Miller. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Allen and one son, Stanley Davis. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory two sons, Veotis Davis of Norphlet and Michael Holmes of Fayetteville; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers, James Holmes of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gene McElroy of Little Rock, Clifford Holmes of Smackover and Terry Holmes of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Dorothy L. Holmes of Seattle, Washington. 

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., Snow Hill Baptist Church 413 West 2nd Street in Smackover with interment immediately following at Hicks Cemetery.

Down through the years we have known her and her family and she has always been such a high spirit to encounter. Joy always overflowed to anyone that she met.     To the family of Sis. Sue Allen, God has another Angel in heaven singing praises. Any time I was home I loved listening to her singing in the choir. May you find comfort in God and know that all of you are in my prayers.
