Sam Jay Russell II, 60, of Little Rock, born November 15, 1955, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Sindie Russell, and sister, Glendi Joyce Russell Hines. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and the United States Army.

He survived by his brothers, Roy Russell (Leslie) and Ronald Russell (Choe). Sam was a beloved nephew, brother, cousin, and uncle.

    Saddened to hear the passing of my dear friend. We enjoyed many memories growing up together. Prayers going up for family and friends. You blessed my life and will be missed.

    Myself and co-workers are at a loss of words…Sam left the jobsite just over a week ago because he became ill with the stomach bug thats currently running rampant in our area. Assumed he would return to the job site within a few days as weekend passed without contact wwe became concerned with his well being and went to his home after work….jyst learning yesterday morning that Sam had gone home to be with Jesus, his Lord and Savior. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We are hoping to make contact with surviving family member so we may meet up to pay our condolences. Please respond if you are reading this post…
