Gary D. Davis, 71

Gary D. Davis, age 71, of Perryville, passed away on April 20, 2017. He was born on September 15, 1945 in Woodruff County, Arkansas. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Lesley and Annie Davis and two brothers, Gerald and Bobby Davis. He owned and operated Memphis Electric, Inc. until he retired to Thornburg, Arkansas. He then became a Deputy Sheriff with Perry County.

He was a member of Thornburg Baptist Church.

Gary is survived by his wife, Barbara; two step-children; two granddaughters, and two grandsons.

Visitation will be Monday, April 24 from 10-11 am at Thornburg Baptist Church, with Funeral Service following at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gary’s honor to the Building Fund for Thornburg Baptist Church.

    Gary was a Great man to know i will miss him . Gary and I worked together for Perry County Sheriff as Part Time Deputies. He was always willing to do whatever it took to get job done.

    Gary loved the Lord first then his family. That family included almost everyone he met. His wife, his family, grand children then his Church family, friends and people he met while working with the Sheriff department. He would Tell us to live our lives in a way that someday we will join him in his new heavenly home. I will Miss him but we will see each other again.I love you my wonderful husband.

    Gary is at peace now. I’m thinking about you and praying for you to get through these days of sorry. You have many memories that can help you. I know that it is not easy…but something that most of us have to go through. Be the strong women that you are and keep your good faith in the Lord. You will see Gary again and be together forever and ever. Love you.
