Tracye, your a great friend that I called sister! You were like the prophet Micah and filled with power of the Holy Spirit. You have greatly influenced my life and will truly miss you! The comfort that I find is that I will see you again!

My prayers are with the Harris Family. Tracye was one of the sweetest, most gentle soul I met while at Tech. We pledged Delta Zeta together and I will always treasure her friendship. May she find peace in the presence of our Lord and may He hold her family in the palm of His hand during this trying time.

Grief is the price we pay for having loved. Tracye and I were Delta Zeta sisters at ATU. She will be remembered having so much joy in heart and a great laugh. My prayers are with you all.

    Ken, Emily, Evan and family,
I have such fond memories of Tracye! I wish we had spent more time together, she was so honest and open, and such an encourager! I appreciate her including Grant in music camp with Emily years ago. And I would have LOVED to go Chritmas caroling with her, but never got to. Over the years, Tracye would call me and suggest beautiful Christian songs that Grant might enjoy singing, and she was right! They had beautifully powerful lyrics.
Another happy memory she leaves me is that I always knew where she stood and I loved that about her! I treasured her honesty. I hope that if there is anything I might be able to help with, that you would let me know, Ken. I am so sorry. She will be greatly missed. She was taken way too soon, but I know she enjoys seeing Jesus face to face now and imagine her smile, as she lifts her new voice and joins in with the choirs of angels!!

I am so sad to hear that Tracye passed away. I’ve known Tracye since second grade when we were Brownies together. We had so many laughs and tears over the years. I can’t believe she’s gone. I will miss you my friend. My condolences to the Byler and Harris families.

I am so sad to hear about Tracye. My youngest daughter and Emily have been in school together since they were young and church years ago. Tracye and I would occasionally run into each other, usually shopping and end up having an hour conversation. She was passionate about her children, other children, music and education. We had great discussions. I know her family will miss her sweet spirit, energy, and friendly smile! Prayers for strength for the entire family.

  • Ashley Shoffner Posted May 31, 2017 10:58 AM

Emily, I am so very sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. When I met with her last year during parent conferences, she was always so passionate about not only your progress in school, but more so your well-being. She wanted to know if you were happy. To me, that meant that was a good mom who cared deeply about her daughter. I can imagine that applied to the rest of you family as well. I will be praying for you all in the weeks and months ahead, and always know Mrs. Shoffner is here to talk if you need me.

My thoughts and prayers are with Ken and the children and also Tracye’s family. I have known Tracye for many years and always enjoyed talking to her at the Indian Hills Pool. She was so sweet and kind and just a beautiful person. She will be missed by all that knew her.

I’m so saddened and shocked to read of Tracey’s homegoing in the paper. I was her choir teacher at Fuller Jr. High and remember her sweet gentle spirit. We had run into each other in the last couple of years and got reconnected. My prayers go out to the Ken, Emily, Evan and the rest of the family. Special prayers to Mrs. Byler.
