Cliff was one of a kind to nephews far away. His laugh was infectious along with his giant smile that infected us all.

He was the best father-in-law a guy could ask for. He was a real hero to me, Hunter, fisherman, golfer, veteran of WWII, good cook. He taught me to be calm and carry on. His cookies were Wonderful, I am thankful he shared his recipe. Candy was the BEST caregiver and daughter. I pray a burden will lift off her shoulders. He loved his kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He will live in our memory forever. RIP Cliff, we loved you.

    Hello Candy, Shelia, and Ronnie,
I just saw this while at work. I thought of Cliff this week while at the VA where his picture in located in the hall of heroes. I know you all must be very sad at this time. Cliff and your mom were wonderful people. Peggy left me last month, she was 96. It hurt alot. God has ended there hurts and pains and they are waiting for us to join them in peace. I would love to hear from any of you.
    May God bless you all.
    Sincerely, Gary Robertson

Gary, so sorry to read in your kind post about the loss of your dear mom last month. She, along with your dad and you, were like family to all of us. Would love to see you sometime.

The finest, kindest, most humble Christian man I’ve known. He chose to love me and my family. The memories we created together are priceless. When we were expecting our youngest son, he asked that I try to do it at a decent hour of the day. The previous birth took all night. Always had a sense of humor. We attended church together, he was at every family event, and taught our oldest son to fish. The camping trips were the BEST!!! We fished, had yummy meals and true bonding. David and he enjoyed years of deer camp, fireside stories and great laughs. It was an honor and privilege to be a part of his wonderful life. He never met a person whose life he didn’t touch in a positive way. I’m sure God designed a special golf course just for him, an awesome deer stand and stocked a lake with the best fist. Heaven is a kinder place with this beloved Dad there. Thankful for eternal life and knowing that we will laugh and hug again. With love….
