Everett “Neal” Faulkner Jr. 72, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 surround by his family. Neal is preceded in death by his father, Everett Neal Faulkner Sr.; mother, Laudean Barnes Faulkner; and his brother, Barney Mac Faulkner. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Letty Alarcon Faulkner; sister, Pamela Nelson (John) of Collierville, TN; son, Trace Faulkner (Genevieve) of Nashville, TN; daughter, Carrie Tacker of Kingwood, TX; sons Carlos Celis (Marie) of Hot Springs, Ben Celis of Austin, Tx, Damian Alarcon (Jacob) of Richmond, CA, and Conrad Wilson Lewis of Little Rock, AR. He is also survived by his step-mother, Doris Beason Faulkner of Camden, AR; nephews, Adam Faulkner of El Dorado, AR and Damian Alarcon of Austin, TX; nieces, Jamie Downs (Rusty) of Jackson, GA, Kimberly Nelson of Atlanta, GA and Joanna Nelson of Collierville, TN along with 10 grandchildren and a host of friends.

Neal served his country in the United States navy during the Vietnam War from 1964 to 1967. He also served in the Navy Reserve from 1967 to 1970. Neal was employed by Southern Pacific Railroad for 24 years before starting Fordyce Concrete Company which he owned and operated for 16 years before retiring.

In lieu of flowers his family has asked for donations to be made to a cancer research organization of your choice.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. 501-982-3400.

    I’m so sorry to hear about Neal. For as long as I can remember, he and my dad were such great friends, and my memories of him go back to when I was very young. I’m sure they’re having a great reunion now! You are all in my prayers.
