I feel so thankful that Papaw is the first there to meet my baby Hughston. Hughston was named after Papaw, because he was such a great man. I’m sure he saw him and greeted him with a belly slap and “hua hua hua; BOOM POW!” Then he pulled him in and gave him the biggest hug ever. That’s just Papaw.

    Precious Burton Family,
Brother Lester was a true hero of the faith. He was such a kind, joyful man, and he and Sister Betty raised up some of the finest people on the planet. Brother Lester will be missed, but his legacy will live on forever. We are forever blessed to have known him and his wonderful family. May God reach down and comfort each one of you as you mourn the loss of such a great man.

    We love you!

Lester Burton is one of the finest men I have ever known. Such a tremendous loss here but what a host of loved ones to greet him in Heaven! “Brother Burton” has been a treasured, trusted and respected spiritual leader and friend to me and my family since before I was born in 1957. My precious “Daddy” considered him to be one of the best friends of his his entire 93 year life and was most assuredly thrilled to see him and welcome him home on Tuesday. “On the other side treasures there have I.” I understand now why Heaven feels more and more like home that you long to go to, as you get older and lose your loved ones here on earth. I love you Betty, Larry, Donna and Kevin. You have always been like family to me and always will. I am praying for you and grieving with you in this time of sadness and loss. Evonne Rice
