Gerald Woodrow Wheetley, 89

Gerald Woodrow Wheetley, age 89, of Cabot passed away on October 20, 2017 in Conway, Arkansas.  He was born on August 5, 1928 in Cabot, Arkansas to Elmer Franklin and Bevie Wheetley.

He proudly served in the United States Army and in the United States Marines.  Gerald loved being outside deer hunting, turkey hunting and fishing.  He had a passion for rebuilding antique cars and loved to work. 

He was preceded in death by his first wife Neoma Wheetley Bedwell; his second wife Imogene Wheeley Gentry; a son Jerry Wheetley; a sister Ruby; step-sister Cathlene; four brothers Forrest, Doyle, Elmer and James.

Gerald is survived by his loving and devoted wife Frances McFarlane; his daughters Linda Strode, Martha (Alan) Wheeler, Vivan Cadwallader and Jennie Smallwood; his sons Larry (Ethel) Wheetley, Victor (Angela) Wheetley; daughter-in-law Jean Wheetley;.  He leaves behind his 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 3:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at A Natural State Funeral Service, Jacksonville, Arkansas.

A funeral will be held on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at A Natural State Funeral Service, Jacksonville, Arkansas, with a full military honor service at Sumner Cemetery, Cabot, Arkansas, following the service.
