Joey and entire Longtin family. So sorry to hear the sad news of Richard’s passing. He was an old friend and good man. Richard and his brothers and parents played a priceless role in my teenage years. I have nothing but fond memories of those days. Please know that I and the French family hope you find comfort during this difficult time.

I remember when the Longtin family moved to Lakeland Drive. Phil was in my grade, Richard and my sister, Jennifer, were the same age, and then there was my brother Richard and Joey. Perfect storm. Lots of fun memories and innocent times. I remember Richard blowing up his chemistry set upstairs at our house. Long summer days hanging out at the old lake house. I will always remember Richard with a smile, as I remember Phil the same way. Joey, I am so sorry for your loss. Peace and comfort to you and your family

    Joey,
So sorry to hear about Richard. Lots of memories growing up out there where we did. I still think about all you guys when I drive by the old Longtin house on the hill. I always remember Richard on his blue Honda. Did not know about the chemistry set thing! Thinking of you, bro.

I sure hate to hear the passing of Richard. When I was young, Richard was my favorite uncle. I remember pretty much living with them at times growing up and Richard always treated me and my brother like his own. I’ll never forget him taking me, my brother, Greyson and Leslie to the lake on his boat. Thanks for all the great memories as a child. Rest easy uncle Richard.

Richard will always be held in high regard throughout the Roaring Fork Valley (Aspen to Glenwood Springs) Colorado. I send support and love to his children. You can be proud of Richard, and may his spirit, intelligence and integrity always be remembered.

Hi, my name is Nicholas and while I never knew Richard in life, I have come to know him in my own way. See, Richard owned a 1978 Camaro LT, and sold it to someone, who sold it to my dad, who gave it to me. That was in 2015, I was 16. I’m 24 now, and have poured thousands of hours and dollars into that car. It means more to me than I could convey with words. I never lived in Colorado, where this car came from. My dad does, so when I flew out as an adult I tracked down who my dad got it from, which led to get Richards name, and his unfortunate obituary as well. I was really hoping I’d get to speak to him, but that’s okay. I would hopefully like to speak to his family, show them some pictures of the car, maybe get some copies of pictures of him with the car. My condolences to him and his family. I’m not sure how much it means, but he sure had taste in cars and kept them in good shape.
