Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Dennis Meyer, 69

Dennis Meyer, age 69, left us on Sunday, January 28, 2018 to be with our son Travis.  He loved life and his infectious laugh will be missed by many.  Dennis had a special love of his family, friends, animals and gardening.  He loved sitting on his front porch with his faithful dog Junior watching the world go by.

Dennis was a loyal and strong union man, working for the Local 669, Sprinkler Fitter.  The last six years he served as the business agent for Arkansas and Louisiana.  He loved all his members and worked hard to support the union.

He is preceded in death by his beloved son Travis, daughter Shelby and father Norman.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Janeen; his mother Julia; his grandson Blake; his brothers Daryl (Jan) and Doyle (Debbie); aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

We want to thank the physicians and staff at CHI SVI North ICU for their kindness and care they gave Dennis the last two weeks.

A Celebration of Life will be held at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main, Jacksonville, Arkansas on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.   The family is requesting everyone to dress casually.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Dennis’ name to any animal shelter.

Peace, Love and Doves

Dennis was a joy to be around. He will be missed by many as myself had the pleasure to have worked with him as a 669 fellow Business agent.

Kathy we talked several times about going to see you and Steve, but it never happened. I miss seeing you but enjoyed the time I had with you two on the trips. He is with Travis now watching over me.
