Frederick Alvin West, 78

Frederick Alvin West, 78 of Cabot passed away on Friday March 9, 2018.  He was born on August 30, 1939 in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, to the late Earl and Lenna Mae West.  He was a retired agent for State Farm Insurance and served the Jacksonville community for over 42 years.  Fred was a life time member of the State Farm Presidents club.  He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, and spend time at the lake. 

He is survived by children Andy West (Dana) of Cabot, Bradley West (Jennifer) of Cabot; brother Frank West of Texarkana, Arkansas; sister Glenda Fulks of Cabot; four grandchildren, Andrew West of Jacksonville, Lindsey Chamblee (Justin) of Jacksonville, Tessa West and Jaxtyn Guthridge of Cabot; three great-grandchildren, Kolton Fulcher of Cabot, Kendal and Tenley Chamblee of Jacksonville.

The family would like to pay special gratitude to Jimbo Evans and Nikki Taylor for the love and care given to him over the last few years of his life. 

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations to be made to Alzheimer’s Arkansas foundation in Fred’s honor at 201 Markham Center Drive, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72205.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13th from 6- 8 P.M. in the Chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076.

    My God Bless the Whole WEST Family at this difficult, never easy to say Good By, Fred is now free and at peace and with our creature no more pain no more sorrow. Andy and Brad your Dad and I go back many years to the time when Fred was the Only State Farm agent in Jacksonville and I truly believed that he did love you two very much. Fred West was Mr. State Farm in Jacksonville,Arkansas. I speak for many State Farm agents when I say we loved this man and the trail he blazed for all of us, again may I say to our former Comrade,Rest In Peace Fred West–Rest In Peace!!

    Praying for Fred’s family and loved ones in their time of grief. Fred West and I went to Middle School together in McCroy, Arkansas and he was my State Farm agent for many years…He was a heck of a nice guy and friend. Condolences to all. May the Lord be will you and keep you.
