Lavelle Ozment, 88

Lavelle Ozment, 88, of Banks, Arkansas died peacefully on Friday,  March 23, 2018 at home with family. He was born July 24, 1929 in Warren, AR to the late Mary Bell & Lawson Ozment.

He was a retired Truck Driver and US Army Veteran.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He loved gathering with family & friends to play music, eat, or just visit.

He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Danny Ozment of Warren and his siblings: Clyde Ozment of Hot Springs, Claude Ozment of  Banks, Margie Gorman of Hermitage, Odell Ozment of California, Anna Bell Powers of Michagin, Alma Frankie of Warren, Idell Craig of Warren, and Dewell Ozment of Warren.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Willene Ozment,  children:  Joey Ozment of Banks, Mary Cargile of New Edinburg, & April Meadows of Banks, a daughter-in-law, Laura Baker of Warren, Grandchildren: Jason Reep, Bobby Ozment, Amber Reep Spears, & Megan Cargile, And a host of Great-Grandchildren, nieces, & nephews.

No services will be held.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to The Veterans Museum, 210 North Main Street, Warren, AR, 71671.

    We kept waiting to hear if he ever fulfilled his dream of becoming mayor of Banks one day.

    I have a lot of wonderful memories of gathering on the front porch and listening to the guitar picking. Rest in peace brother-in-law.
