Jackie (Jack) Lynn Calhoun, 62, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018. He was born on August 19, 1956 in Lonoke, Arkansas to George Calvin (Red) Calhoun and Billie Ruth Dulaney.
He was an avid sports fan and was passionate about the Arkansas Razorbacks and Dallas Cowboys. He loved NASCAR but his greatest joy was being “Pawpaw” and attending all the grandchildren’s sports activities and spending all the time he could with them. He was a Master Electrician for over 30 years with Arnold and Blevins Electric.
He is preceded in death by his father George (Red) Calhoun.
Jackie leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 44 years, Rita Lynn Elliott; children, Scott Calhoun (Gayla) and Amanda Calhoun; grandchildren, Austin Calhoun, Dustin Calhoun, Kylie Belew, and Bryston Belew; his mother Ruth Calhoun; siblings, Alice Faye Young (Charles), Belinda Dugas, Billy Calhoun, and Jerry Calhoun (Carol); mother-in-law Sylvia Dean Elliott; two sisters-in-law Shirley Lord and Dana Duncan; two brothers-in-law Kenny Elliott (Beverly) and Jim Elliott (Karyn) a host of nieces, nephews, as well as many friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas.
Funeral Service will be Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at A Natural State Funeral Service. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, Jacksonville, Arkansas.

I remember Jackie all the way back to 4th grade. I even remember watching him and our other classmates playing baseball way back then! What a sweet guy he always was. He had a great smile and was always kind to everyone. He is gone too soon, but praise God he is in a place with no more pain!! Rita, we love you and will be praying for you!

Rita, I am so sorry to hear about Jackie. He was always very sweet to me in high school and I always think of him fondly! The two of you were always such a cute couple! I wish I had made it to the last reunion so we could have had a long talk about the Razorbacks; I would have enjoyed it!
