Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Caleen Ann Estelita, 81

Caleen Ann Estelita, age 81, of Little Rock passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018.  She was born in Oakland, California to Calvin and Christine Brugge on April 17, 1937. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Lynn Estelita.

Caleen is survived by her daughter Candace Blauvelt (Jim);sons, Richard Estelita (Charley) and Jon Estelita; grandchildren, Joshua Rhodes, Mackenzie and Thomas Gaulin; and devoted mother to King Charles Spaniel Ginger, and “Gamma” to Lucy who were always at her side, even at the end.

Caleen was one of a kind.  A native of California who came to Arkansas to be with her sons, she loved her new home in Little Rock.  Always ready to laugh, she had the wonderful ability to find humor in any situation.  A naturally creative person, spending hours on homemade Halloween costumes, Caleen nurtured and encouraged her children to celebrate their own artistic abilities. From white gloves to “go downtown,” poodle skirts and  beehives her sense of style and desire to always look her best never failed.  Through the whole of her Alzheimer’s journey Caleen remained always herself.  She will be missed by those who had the chance to know and love her.

A celebration of Caleen’s life will be held in her beloved Sonoma in the new year.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Arkansas or Arkansas Hospice.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076.  501-982-3400.

An incredibly bright and happy woman. I was lucky to know her for her kindness, love and progressiveness. She loved her children and they her. They stuck by her side through the difficult times with Alzheimers and kept her living in the home she loved. God Bless you, Caleen. You are in a better place.
