Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

LaDonna Lynn (Yarbrough) Allen, 64

LADONNA LYNN (YARBROUGH) ALLEN, 64, of Lonoke, a loving wife, mother, sister and “Nana” peacefully passed away on Christmas morning, December 25, 2018 – her favorite day of the year – after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

LaDonna was born on April 5, 1954 in Searcy to the late Charles and Hilda Yarbrough and graduated from Searcy High School. She was a people person and spent her life in childcare and sales.

LaDonna loved camping and being on the water, whether it was a pool, a lake, or the beach. She cherished holidays and birthdays, always focusing on making family and friends feel special.  Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was the best “Nana” anyone could ever imagine.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Phillip Allen. She is survived by her children, Rick Harvey (Jennifer), Ryan Harvey (Taye), Amanda Hall (Justin), Nathan Allen (Gina) and Candice Ahearn (Steven); 13 grandchildren; one sister, Renee Deaton; one brother, Keith Yarbrough and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ladonna was so much fun to work with. Her and I started the same day at Rainmaker Accessories many many years ago and she stayed with them all these years. We worked together many years and I was a witness to her tenaciousness. She was a fighter and never gave up. She was a wonderful woman, always happy and had the best wit. I never seen her in a bad mood, she was always positive. She was just an amazing person to be around. You will be greatly missed Ladonna, this world needs more people like you. Love you much Janet

I knew LaDonna in college and we lost touch after school. I can honestly say that she was one of the sweetest people I ever met. I am so sorry for the family’s loss, but so happy that she brought so much happiness into your lives.
