Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Mark David Barnett, 59

Mark David Barnett, 59, of Cabot, passed away December 5, 2018 peacefully at his home.

Mark is survived by his two daughters, Sarah (Kevin) Barton, Emily (Tyler) Richard; grandsons, Beau Barton and Rhett Richard; father, Lester Barnett and sister, Tonya Mahlen.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Freddie Quandt Barnett.

Mark was a 30+ year member of Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, where he once taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and assisted with the sound equipment. He was a talented musician who loved playing the guitar and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, studying the Bible, great music and classic cars.  Mark was known for always helping others in their time of need and was a great friend.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Cabot with Pastor Dennis Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate in Mark’s honor to your local animal shelter, as he had a love for animals.

Mark, was a great guy , met him when he purchased a motorcycle from me, we became friends shortly after. In 2007 he started working for me as asalesman & finance mgr @ my Kawasaki powersports business. He was great with our customers! We stayed friends from that point on. Mark was a good friend & very thoughtful of everybody! I will miss him! God speed Mark! Hope to see you again one day.

Sarah and Emily, I will always remember how Mark visited me and so many others while we were in the hospital, even if just for testing. Mark always called me and offered to give me a ride to my doctor appointments when he knew my husband had to work. Mark had a caring heart and was significant in our lives. He will be missed.❤️
