I was so sorry to hear this sad news. I worked with Bettye at ADH. She was smart, nice, & determined. I admired her willingness to fight for what was right for herself & others. I learned a lot from her. Prayers for her family & friends.

My workou buddy gone but never forgotten. Her legacy in Suicide Prevention, Injury Prevention, and her beloved Firemen for their efforts…only surpassed for her love and respect for her Real Husband…Marc. We carry her in our hearts…

Bettye will be much missed! She stared down adversity that would have gotten the better of many a lesser soul, and did so with unbending good spirits and a unique mix of serious philosophical insight into life’s big questions and an unfailingly humorous perspective on the absurdities of the human comedy. She was witty and warm, generous of heart, smart as a whip, a consummate professional, and the most wonderful company—heartfelt consolations to Marc, and to Bettye’s family & loved ones.

Marc – I was so sorry to hear this sad news. I didn’t know Bettye well, but I always thought she had the best personality and the best grasp of the real world. You and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Marc, I am sad to hear of Bettye’s passing. We had many discussions regarding fire and fall prevention for at risk seniors and children. She helped me with educational materials I could hand out at public events and to my firefighters. Take care. Ronnie
