This dear gentleman was our friend for over 40 years – as a client and as someone who was very nice and thoughtful. When he showed up, there was laughter and smiles as he seemed to bring sunshine along to cheer everyone. Memorably, he often dressed in a marvelous wardrobe — a striking royal blue from head-to-foot and the next ‘fashion statement’ was a handsome deep purple – from hat to shoes and everything-in-between! He was tall and lanky and wore his apparel like a model. Best of all about Charlie, he was a enjoyable as he was beautifully garbed. Such a delight! Charlie was a good man. We were blessed to have had him in our lives.

  • The office staff of James W. Stanley, Posted January 17, 2019 10:25 PM

Charlie Washington was a client for several decades with the Stanley Law Firm. His presence was always welcome as he became a friend to the entire staff. Perhaps the most telling thing about the man was that no matter the subject of his legal needs or ordinary reasons for dialing
the office, the end of every conversation — just before hanging up the phone — his last sweet message would be:
“Welll, if you need ME, just call.”
These precious words and the wonderful fellow who spoke them, will be greatly missed. When we got the word of his death, each of us were in tears…
We pray GOD to have welcomed him into Heaven. Our sympathies to all who knew and loved our pal, Charlie.
