Larry Wayne Williams, 66

Larry Wayne Williams, 66 from Chidester Arkansas, formally from Shreveport, LA and Rosston, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at his home. He was the caretaker for Thompson Tree Farm for the past 19 years. He was a graduate of Prescott High School. Larry was a unique and loving person who loved to listen to his music and was an artist. He was of the Christian faith and had a connection with God through nature. He also loved his dogs on the farm, He relished in being the oldest grandchild of Arlis and Ruby Williams, Doyle Fincher and Elverne Shipp Goodner. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Jeremy Steed Williams and father Dewey Edward “Ed” Williams.

Larry is survived by his children, whom he loved dearly and talked about often: son, Jonathan Eric Williams of Austin, TX and daughter Ashton Amy Williams of Shreveport, LA. Also left to cherish his memory his mother Sue Fincher Williams Hoppis and Reed , sisters Cris Williams Honeycutt and Ron, and Lisa Williams, all of Harrison, AR. He has 4 surviving nieces and a nephew. Also, uncles: Jim (Chris) Fincher; Ralph, Horace, Mike (Robbie), and Mark Goodner, Wesley Anderson and Ray (Theresa) Williams and aunts: Virginia and Sybil Williams and Mary Ann Pierson Many cousins and friends are left to cherish his memory.

A memorial service will be held on Friday January 18 2019 at Waldrep Cemetery Nevada Rd. 6 Willisville, AR. at 1 PM. Everyone is invited to celebrate, as he requested, his life at this service. Bro. Kenneth Williams will officiate with family and friends celebrating his life. A potluck will follow the service, please feel free to bring a dish to share and visit with his family and friends.

    I had the pleasure of knowing and calling Larry friend for many years. Was saddened to hear of his death. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
