Marilyn Susan Finney, of Cabot Arkansas passed away on January 4th, 2019 at the age of 65. She was born on January 30, 1953 in Little Rock Arkansas. She had been a resident of Cabot for thirteen years and enjoyed her community. She was an active member of the Senior Center and made great friends there.
Those fortunate enough to know Marilyn would describe her as a kind, considerate, generous and thoughtful person. In conversation, she never failed to ask after everyone’s family members by name – particularly their animals. She had a tremendous love and concern for her fur babies. Each dog and cat Marilyn ever owned was blessed, indeed.
Marilyn was preceded in death by both her parents – James Bradley Henry and Genlee Bakalekos Martin. She leaves behind to cherish her memory – her best friend and lifelong companion, Doc Edward Brownlow, brothers Robert Martin, Greg Martin, Mike Martin, daughter Marcie Finney and son in law David Singleton, and her precious little poodle, Sadie.
A gathering to celebrate her life is planned for Spring time, 2019. Details will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to express our appreciation to the staff of A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Their professional, compassionate assistance and respectful handling of Marilyn’s final wishes has been exemplary.
