William “Bill” Dickerson, 82

William “Bill” Dickerson, 82, of Vilonia, Arkansas passed from this life on Thursday, January 3, 2019. He was born on April 5, 1936 in Evansville, Indiana to the late William M. and Lorenza Dickerson.

Bill served honorably in both the United State Marine Corp and the United State Army. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and reading in his free time but also had a great love for animals and was passionate about rescuing ones in need.

Bill is also preceded in death by his siblings James Gordon, Peggy Collett and Mary Dickerson-Miller. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 35 years, Linda Dickerson; daughter, Debra Recar (Kenny); three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Pettigrew (Al) and a host of other family and friends.

In lieu of flowers his family asks for donations to be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society in Bills name.

A family hosted celebration of Bill’s life will be held at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 12:00pm.
