Christine Adell Ellison Reeder, 68

Christine Adell Ellison Reeder, 68 passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 after a long battle with cancer. She was born on December 13, 1950 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Thomas and Imogene (Overbey) Ellison.

Christine was a graduate of Lamar High School in 1968. She worked at the School coaching many sports including cheerleading. Christine spent many years in Johnson County and made multiple lifelong friends there. She loved her children and enjoyed spending time with her huge family. Christine also loved Angels and had quite a collection. She enjoyed working in her yard and tending to her beautiful flowers at her home in Perry, Arkansas.

Christine is survived by her daughter Kerri Tomczak (Denny) and son Randall Shatwell; grandchildren Morgan Ross (Michael), Hannah Tomczak, Logan Tomczak, Shane Tomzak (Julie) and Faith Webb; great-grandchildren, Jaxon Treece and Adam Guynes; brothers Dwain Ellison (Joanne), David Ellison (Joanne), Gerald Ellison (Barbara), Danny Ellison and Mike Ellison (Kim); sisters Carolyn Tippit (Jimmy), Beverly Ellison Kogut, Charlotte Jensen (Scott), Lucy Ellison; special friend John Swatzel and a host of numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. She is also preceded in death by her brother Thomas “Doug” Ellison.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 11am at Cabin Creek Baptist Church in Lamar, Arkansas with burial to follow at Lamar, Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 prior to the funeral. Pallbearers will be Darrin Ellison, Brandon Kogut, Steve Ellison, Mike Ellison, Danny Ellison, Logan Tomczak and Michael Guynes. Honorary- Pallbearers are Shane Tomczak, Denny Tomczak, Dwain Ellison, Gerald Ellison, David Ellison, James Overbey, James “Jamesy” Overbey ll, David Ellison Jr., Ryan Ellison and Gary Ellison.

    I will forever treasure our friendship. We have played softball, owned a business together, had great times dancing with all our friends, and cried on each other’s shoulders. You will never be forgotten. I will cherish each memory I have with you. Fly with the Angels, Chris. Love you.

    You will forever be my friend. Your pain has ended and you are flying high with the Angels. We have so many memories, from playing softball, going dancing with the group and having a business together. You will forever be with me in my heart. Love you.

    I’m so sad. I am going to miss my friend and reading her posts. Lord knows she is no longer in pain and is up above with God now. She has helped me with several things in my life and she was a special Blessing. God Bless you my dear friend. Prayers for all of her dear friends and family, may God give you peace and comfort.

    I will miss you so much Precious Friend. You were a fighter, always sharing with me your ways to fight cancer. We both suffered with our cancer and gave each other strength that no one will ever know! I will always cherish our fun times together at Lamar High School. Cheerleading and Best Friends Forever were meant for Us! You always loved Angels so now you can fly with them to heaven to be with your Lord and Savior that You Love So Much!     I always enjoyed our friendship growing up beside each other. Singing together with Judy Dillard at church and being best of friends. I will always remember that beautiful smile.Your family and friends will miss you but Heaven is gaining a wonderful soul.
