Joyce V. Williams, 80

Joyce V. Williams, 80 of Maumelle, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, February 1, 2019. She was born on July 20, 1938 in Piggott, Arkansas to the late Louis Jack and Mable G. Jackson. Joyce loved gardening, growing flowers, dogs-especially collies and was well known as a master southern cook. She was a faithful Christian and member of Morgan Church of Christ.

Joyce is also preceded in death by her siblings; Darce Levon Jackson, Ernest Baldwin Jr., Sammy R. Baldwin, Levern Towns, Allene Croisto and Earlene Keltner. She leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years Billy Joe Williams; children Joe Williams (Rita) and Diane Covell (Kevin); grandchildren Joseph Michael Miller, Amanda Leigh Gray, Katie Marie Williams; great-grandchildren Little Gary, Sierra, Addy, Cameron, Brennan and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 12-1pm with funeral services starting at 1pm at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas, 72076. Burial will follow at Rest Hills Memorial Park in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

      Diane, I’m so sorry for your loss. Just know your and my momma is in heaven together, holding hands and smiling down on us all. Aunt Nita is not only mommas sister but her best friend as well. No more suffering for either and Uncle Sammy has his arms wrapped around them both right now.

    Aunt Nita, you are the most genuine sweetest person I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. When I get heaven I know you will introduce me to Jesus as your namesake as you have always done. I miss your smile and hugs. I will see you as soon as God is done with me here on earth. I love you!

    My dear sweet loving Aunt Nita ,will be missed not only by her family, but by her many friends..God has her in his hands, and arms..She is free from all worries ,pain, and cruelty from this world..From now on she is free of all earthly woe,s.. Though I will miss you , I am looking forward to seeing you soon…God has Blessed everyone that ever knew her….
