Shelby Franklin Ahart Jr, 73, of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to his heavenly home April 22, 2019. He was born on November 28, 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Shelby Franklin Sr and Julia Bernice Ahart. Shelby enjoyed and was a baseball fan his entire life but spending time with his family was his greatest joy. Shelby served proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Karla Ahart; two daughters Kim Thompson (Bobby), Cheryl Ahart (Jed Darr); four grandchildren Shelby, Rhett, Noah, Ava; sisters Brenda Marlin, Pam Leisenring (Tom) and a host of other family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00am at Friendly Chapel Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400
