William (Kic) Wheeler, 83

William (Kic) Wheeler, 83, of Jacksonville passed away May 16, 2019.  He was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee on April 8, 1936 to the late Henry and June Wheeler.

He was an honored member of the United States Airforce, for 25 years, where he served proudly and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.  He also served in the United States Marine Corp; owned and operated K&E Equipment in Sherwood, Arkansas for nearly 25 years before retiring. He is a member of the Military Road Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister Linda Jackson.

William leaves behind the love of his life and wife of over 50 years, Eileen Wheeler; three sons Mark Wheeler of Opello, Arkansas, Tom Wheeler (Marlis) of Jacksonville, Arkansas and James Wheeler of Cabot, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren as well as a sister Mary Benton of Madison, Tennessee and many friends, family and loved ones.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 20, 2019, at Military Road Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Arkansas and followed by memorial services at 11:00 am.

    To the family, I am sincerely sorry for your loss. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is continue on after the loss of a loved one, but please be assured that Jehovah God is aware of what you’re feeling. Psalm 34:18 states “God is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit”. God can and will provide you with the comfort and strength to endure during these difficult times. I pray these words and scriptures brings you comfort.
