Douglas “Doug” R. Hethcox, 69

Douglas “Doug” R. Hethcox, 69 of Alexander, Arkansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2019. He was born on August 25, 1949 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the late Bobby and Betty Hethcox. Doug enjoyed doing his artwork, cartooning, and was held in high regard for his sign work in Benton, Arkansas. He was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Doug leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Sherry Hethcox; son John Christopher Koller; step-daughter Traci Rutherford; five grandchildren Brandon, Bailey, Madison, John, Paityn; siblings Teresa Riddling (Robert), Gary Hethcox (Brandy), Daryl Hethcox (Louise) and a host of other loving family and friends.

Doug’s family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of CHI St. Vincent ICU and to the staff of Arkansas Hospice for the love and care they provided and also to his church family at Trinity Baptist Church for their continued prayers. The family also wishes to thank Sherry’s work family, Harbor Environmental, for all of their love, support and generosity.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the Saline County Humane Society.

A family celebration of life will be held at a later date at Trinity Baptist Church in Benton, Arkansas. Arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas 72076. 501-982-3400

    We will miss Doug, but we have the assurance we will see him again in Heaven someday.
