Jamie Catherine Gillis, 66 of Cabot, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on June 28, 2019. She was born on November 2, 1952 in Fort Hood Texas, to James and Alma Jackson.
Jamie is survived by her loving husband of over 40 years Larry Gillis, two sons; Col. Eric Allen Gillis, USMC Ret. (Anona), and Jason Andrew Gillis (Monique), four grandchildren; Jessica, Hunter, Andrea and Kala, a sister, Pam Prescott, a brother Robert Jackson, a sister in law, Victoria Lynn Hammack (Barry), two brother in laws; Robert Lee Gillis (Kathy), and Raymond Earl Gillis (Kathy), as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is also survived by her best friends Peter and Annalise Goetter of Germany.
Jamie was a devote Catholic, who enjoyed working as a school nurse RN for the Department of Defense for many years. She enjoyed traveling the world, crafting and making dolls and custom teddy bears and was just learning to wood work but most of all she loved her family and her grandkids.
She was also preceded in death by her Grandfather Asa Elliot Lamp.
A private family celebration of life service will be held for her at a later day.

Please accept our sincere condolences. Jamie was truly good person and although I haven’t seen either of you for years, I feel the loss. I really enjoyed working and having fun with Jamie and will treasure the things she made so lovingly.
I only worked with Jamie a few years . She was always so good to me during my time at Schweinfurt Elementary .
