Bennie James Hopkins, age 65

Bennie James Hopkins, 65, of North Little Rock passed away on September 23, 2019.  He was born on July 3, 1954 in Memphis, Tennessee to Otis James and Martha Jo Hopkins.

He is preceded in death by his parents and aunt Patsy Gill.

He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend who always made time to spend with those that he loved and cared for.  He was a man who carried a spirit of peace of God throughout his entire life which allowed him to be calm and loving in every situation. He attended New Life Church of Greater Little Rock, he liked to ride his bike and loved to listen to all genres of music.

Bennie leaves behind his loving wife of 20 years Debby Hopkins; his children William JKC Honor Hopkins, Nicholas Hopkins, Jessica Hopkins, Jared Campbell, Katherin Monasmith (Jacy) and Carrie Zamora (Juan); his grandchildren Aidan Campbell, Natalia Campbell, and Collin Grand; special daughters Elizabeth Bradshaw and Michelle Turner; sister Eva Hixson; aunt and uncle Billy Churchman and Bobbie Churchman, Ed Gill; his second lady in his life, his mother-in-law Dorothy Sue Johnson, and a host of cousins, friends and extended family. His best buddy, who adopted him, Gus.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. at Golden Corral, 5001 Warden Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made directly to the funeral home.
