James Anthony “Spanky” Davis, 61 of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed from this life on October 8, 2019. He was born on April 29, 1958 in Newport, Arkansas to Howard E. and Jane E. Davis. James served in the United State Marines; loved working on cars and motorcycles and spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Howard E. Davis; brother Keith Davis and son Shawn Uptain. James leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years Sharon K Davis; son Jessie James Davis; three grandchildren Bryan Brown, Dylan Brown and Jason Uptain; mother Jane E. Phillips (Buddy); brother Rick Davis (Rhoda); step-sister Karen and her husband Kirby and a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 14, 2019 at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville from 9:30-10:30am with funeral services to begin at 10:30am. Burial will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Very smart man and he always made sure it was right. I worked with James and I really learn from him.
