Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Melissa Ann Huntley, age 42

Melissa Ann Huntley, 42, of Jacksonville went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2019. She was born on September 30, 1977 in Concord, New Hampshire to John Sr. and Joanne Huntley.

She attended and was a member of both Christian Church of Jacksonville and First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. She was a loving and caring person that was always there to lend a hand, heart or shoulder for everyone. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Arkansas Little Rock and was currently attending John Brown University to obtain her Master’s Degree. She was a member of DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and attended the Single Mom’s group at First Assembly of God in North Little Rock. Melissa loved to travel and find new and interesting places to see and eat, and she liked growing plants and flowers. She was the most loving, caring, dedicated and passionate mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She will be missed greatly by everyone that knew her heart. She was a person that would share the Love and forgiveness of Christ not only in word but her actions that never met a stranger… They were met as an equal and friend… Some touched only briefly but forever blessed by meeting her.  She loved her kitties whether hers or not. Enjoyed greatly her bunnies, birds and squirrels running in her yard and other places. . .best hold on going down the road! LOVED sunsets…forget getting down the road to fast when the sun set or rose! And great joy was found spotting flowers in bloom or fall colors along the way! And don’t forget Mexican foods or cheese dip and chips!

She is preceded in death by her mother Joanne McConnell-Huntley and her grandparents Charlotte and Russell Huntley.

Melissa leaves behind to cherish her loving and caring memories her fiancé Jay Hudson, her children Tyler Huntley and Krystal Huntley; her father John Huntley, Sr.; her brother John Huntley, Jr.; nieces Lauren Huntley, Kierra Huntley and Norah Huntley; as well as many family and friends.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at First Assembly of God North Little Rock, 4501 Burrow Drive, North Little Rock, Arkansas.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas. 501-982-3400

It was my privilege to have known Melissa for a brief time. She indeed cared for and about others. Also, ho true that she never met a stranger. Many at Christian Church Jacksonville mourn her death. To Jay & the Huntley family — you all are in our prayers.

I had the pleasure of working with Melissa at Children’s Hospital years ago. One of the sweetest, most gentle souls I have ever met. She never hesitated to help others. She talked so much about her dad and her children- it was clear that they were her world! My prayers are with her family in the days ahead.

I had the pleasure of meeting her through the Solo group at First Assembly. She had such a gentle spirit and cared about everyone she met. She will be missed but we will see her again in perfect health.
I pray for peace for her family but remember you will see her again.
