Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Michael Albert Harvey, 70

MICHAEL ALBERT HARVEY, 70, of Cabot, a loving father and grandfather, peacefully passed away October 13, 2019.

Michael was born February 17, 1949 in Little Rock to the late Ray and Melba Jean Harvey and graduated from North Little Rock High School, where he was a member of the 1966 state championship football team. He had a lifelong background in food service and proudly served as the Director of Child Nutrition for the Pulaski County Special School District for 28 years.

Michael was a tireless worker with a wonderful sense of humor and a unique, bigger-than-life, persona. He had a huge passion for deer hunting and fishing and cherished any moment being outdoors and enjoying nature. Above all, his number one focus in life was his kids and grandkids and ensuring their happiness.  He was the greatest Pawpaw and Pappy anyone could imagine and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

He was a great man, I enjoyed working for him and talking with him, he always had a story to share, and a smile to go with it.

Wonderful friend, He loved PCSSD and worked to improve food service for the district for many years. He made sure that every child was served a good meal everyday. He knew that learning was connected with nutrition.

During the short time I knew him, Michael Harvey was a wonderful person. He was caring and humorous. When he found that I had worked at NLRHS, we found common ground for conversation. He was very proud of being a member of the NLR championship team. He will be greatly missed.
