George Frank Weathersby, Jr., age 84

George Frank Weathersby, Jr., 84, of Jacksonville passed away on November 5, 2019.  He was born in Smackover, Arkansas on November 20, 1934 to the late George, Sr. and Ola Weathersby.

He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to those that knew him.  He proudly served in the United States Army; he was a member of the Pipefitters Union 155 and attended Assembly of God.  He loved hunting, fishing, watching his favorite old Western movies with John Wayne and playing the guitar. 

He is preceded in death by his sister Clemmie McCabe, his brothers Raymond and Don Weathersby.

George leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memories, his children Patricia Green (Gary) of Jacksonville, Michelle Smith (Mark) of Hensley, Georgia Holsing (Eric) of Bryant; his grandchildren Misty, Drew, Huston and Taylor; six great-grandchildren; the loving mother of his children Ursula Czichon; his siblings John Weathersby, Dorothy Redfearn and Clara Doherty, as well as many friends and extended relatives.

Graveside visitation will be Friday, November 8, 2019 from 10:45 until 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 759 Maul Road, Camden, Arkansas with graveside services at 11:00 AM.

    Had Red on my mind for several months, so sad I did not look hom up before today. I loved this guy. Many sweet childhood memories of this My adoable smiling cousin. I have no doubt you will be sorely missed by all those who loved you.
