I’m glad I knew him all those years ago but especially when we were children, running like wild creatures in the woods behind Grammas house, building treehouses and camps, rope swings, zip lines, and contraptions. Catching jars full of fireflies . And of course chores, in Grampas gardens, sheds, fences, gates. Sleeping and playing in homemade rooms and spaces. The Bittinger’s endless creativity and skills, needed to make everything they had, had the most powerful influence on me as an artist

    Jonny,
Thanks for so many wonderful childhood memories. The 3 story treehouse, the briar patch fort, catching snakes and throwing knives. I know that you aren’t gone, you have begun the next part of your journey. Love you.

How he is missed at the Vilonia UMC where he attended during the last few years–he was always so faithful in his attendance while still able and always had a smile on his face and a friendly hello to each of us. Have not known where or how to contact him since he left the Vilonia area. Am sure he is at peace now.

Dear Uncle Jonny, I am so glad I had you growing up in my life. You always took the time to ask me about me. When I was older, you’d always GET me right away. You’re one of them Daffords. It was a great laugh. Thank you for always caring. Love you always.
