James Marcus Ward, 63, of Austin passed away on December 3, 2019. He was born on October 21, 1956 to James and Mable Ward in Whiteville, North Carolina.
He loved to fish, hunt, raise rose bushes and kept his yard beautiful. He enjoyed working on the farm raising cattle and baling hay with his father.
He is preceded in death by his father James S. Ward; grandparents George and Dorothy Nance and Ila Ward and his loving wife Linda Ward.
Mark leaves behind his loving mother Mable Ward; his siblings Amy Proffitt (Gary) and Gregg Ward (Hilda); stepdaughter Amie Henderson; his grandchildren Bailee, Brian, and Austin; friends and family.
Service will be Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Ward First Baptist Church, 208 Scott St, Ward, AR.

Great memories with my childhood friend. Mark was the best friend I had from elementary school through high school graduation and beyond. Great memories with Mark, Mable and James – I felt like another son to them. Mark was the best man at my wedding. Even though miles have kept us apart over the years I have always remembered our good times and was thankful for my friend. Rest in peace.
