Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Michelle Lynn Schreck, age 50,

Michelle Lynn Schreck, 50, of Sherwood, Arkansas passed away quietly in her sleep on December 14th, 2019. Michelle was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 1st, 1969 to parents Ann and Douglas Wickherst. She was their firstborn, and when Ann went into labor with her Doug was supposed to be heading to Vietnam. He decided to leave a few days late to see his baby girl make her appearance into this world, and what a sight she was. She was born at 3:20 am, and from that moment on this world was a little better place with Shelly in it.

She was raised in Nebraska and to her very core she was a tried and true strong Nebraska woman. She was the firstborn of three children, and was a wonderful big sister to her two brothers. She loved her elementary school and as would be true for her whole life, she never had trouble making friends. In high school she was even asked to be a date to two different guys proms at two different schools.

On January 19, 1988 she had a baby girl of her own, and not long after she met one of the greatest loves of her life, which she would marry, and go on to have three more children with; All total she had four kids, three girls, and finally the baby of the four was a boy. After her second child her mother Ann and father Douglas, who worked for Union Pacific Railroad, was relocated to Arkansas, and Shelly and her husband and two kids followed. Although she no longer lived in Nebraska her heart never left it. She was a strong Nebraska Huskers fan her entire life.

She raised her four kids, who went on to give her four grandkids and one more on the way. Shelly was always the light of the party, and never someone you would forget. Her personality and humor were one of a kind, and she never judged anyone for anything other then what was in their heart. She loved cooking and eating, fishing, art, politics, astrophysics, movies, Nebraska football, and most of all her family. Michelle Schreck was preceded in death by her husband Jeffery Schreck, and her father Douglas Wickherst. She leaves behind her mother Ann Stortz; two brothers: Michael Wickherst and Gregory Wickherst; four children: Cassie Wickherst, Nicole Vestal, Rebecca Zarate, and David Schreck; four grandchildren: Christian Grant, Ariel Zarate, Aiden Zarate, and Brynn Vestal and one on the way!

A memorial will be held for her at the Jacksonville Community Center -5 Municipal Dr, Jacksonville, AR 72076 on Monday December 23rd, 2019 from 6pm-9pm.

Arrangements have been entrusted to A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 West Main Street, Jacksonville, Arkansas.  501-982-3400
