William H. Whitcomb Jr., 75

William H. Whitcomb Jr. 75 of DeValls Bluff, Arkansas extended his eternal life on December 11, 2019.  He was born on March 19, 1944 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late William H. Whitcomb Sr and Ada L Whitcomb. William served in the United States Navy; loved fishing, hunting, car racing, gardening, working on diesel motors and cooking out for his friends and family.

He is also preceded in death by his son Scotty Ray Whitcomb and siblings Faye Ellis, Ray Whitcomb and John Whitcomb. William is survived by his daughter Gwendolyn Robison (Barney), Ana Carrell (Junior); siblings Debbie Kaye Ellis, Macie O’Dwyer (Sean), Donald Whitcomb (Doris); nine grandchildren, twenty three great-grandchildren and a host of other loving family and friends.

William was well blessed in his latter years by a special caregiver, Carol Brooks who went beyond caregiver and became a great friend. The family is greatly indebted to her for the compassion she showed William. His family would also like to recognize all of the staff at the VA Medical Center in Little Rock for their exceptional care and compassion. No one could have asked for more.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 6-8pm at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Funeral services will be on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2pm at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church 7556 Hwy 70 DeValls Bluff, Arkansas with burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas.
