Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One

Betty Dianne Mortimore, 66

Betty Dianne Mortimore, 66, of Conway completed her proselytizing assignment on January 27, 2020.  She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas to William Lawrence Chambers and Patricia (Dillaha) Chambers.

She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend but the light of her life was her daughter.  She was a teacher for many years with an emphasis in Special Education and her students loved her dearly, even long after graduation.   She was a member of the Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints of Conway, she loved being a missionary for the Lord; she loved the arts and she was a member of the Arkansas Teachers Association.

She is preceded in death by her father William L. Chambers and a sister Lynn Chambers.

Betty leaves behind her loving, devoted daughter Kathryn Lynn Mortimore (Erin Bain); sisters Kathy Chambers and Dana Wilson; niece Loren Wilson; grand-nephew River Brown and many cousins, friends and relatives.

A Family hosted Celebration of Life will be held February 1, 2020 at 12:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in North Little Rock, 905 Kierre Dr, North Little Rock, Arkansas, 72116.

Ms. Mortimore was a great dyslexia interventionist and my son LOVED her and her “Funday Fridays”. She instilled self confidence and respect in her students, and she will be missed. So sorry to hear of her passing.

Diane was such a sweet spirit, she brought calm and caring to every situation. But, the way she would look down and just chuckle to herself keeps coming to mind when I think of her. I know she’ll be missed by so many. Sending lots of light and love to you all.

She was my sons favorite teacher. Even though he is in middle school he still would go to the elementary to visit her. She was such a positive force in her students lives. She will be missed
