Ned Pringle “Papa Ned”, 84, passed away at the VA Hospital in Little Rock, AR and gained his heavenly wings on January 23, 2020. He was born on March 19, 1935 to the late Morris and Jeneva Wilkerson Pringle in Jacksonville, FL.
Ned is survived by his son Rick Pringle (Kimberly) and leaves behind four grandchildren: Zach Pringle (Brandi Henry), Jacob Pringle, Delonie Henderson and James Cochran (Ashley) as well as 6 great grandchildren Ryder, Caydon, Destini, Kaleb, Layla and Sage. Ned also had a host of family and friends who loved him dearly and will miss him always.
Ned was reunited with his parents Morris & Jeneva Pringle, his loving wife Sandra Loper Pringle, two brother’s Herman & Kenneth and one sister Genevaor.
After graduating from Bradford High School in 1953, he went onto join the United States Air Force where he served for 4 years and upon returning home from the military, he retired after 29 years as a Little Rock Fireman in Little Rock.
He was a devoted member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) in Little Rock, AR where he enjoyed spending time with his friends. He had a passion for horse racing and was a very dedicated grandfather by making sure he never missed a birthday, football or baseball event as well as going to the Sprint car races with boys.
Ned never liked being the center of attention, so per his wishes, there will be no services. May he rest in peace and know that his legacy will live on through everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life on a later date.

I already miss seeing Uncle Ned a couple times a year when he used to visit Dad and came to town for the reunion. I know he is happy to be with Aunt Sandra and dad. May his wings soar and watch over his family
He showed much confidence in me and helped me to find my home in.LRFD. We had many alarms together .
I am going to miss Captain Pringle or “uncle Ned” as I called him at Don Freeman’s hardware store. I would volunteer to work a vacation spot at station 10 just to mess with him! We had many great times together at the fire station. Uncle Ned, I’ wii see you later, save the funnies for me!
Ned will be missed by us all! First got to know him in my younger years hunting deer at the old fireman’s deer camp in Jefferson Country, and on the LR Fire Dept. We had some great times together and before it closed I always could depend on seeing him at Arch St. Feed and Seed! Loved seeing him at the retirees fish fry and recreating the old times together! Always a smile on his face when he saw me and the stories we told each other! Rest In Peace my Brother, until we meet again at the Great Throne Judgement of our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST!
Ned’s gift to the world was his great sense of humor. He was fun company and could instantly put everyone in a good mood. This world lost a fine man. He will be greatly missed…
So very sorry to hear this. As I was growing up I called him Uncle Ned even though he was really my cousin he lived with my family. I have my momma’s picture of him and his Air Force Outfit. I will miss you very much cuz. Love you always
