This breaks my heart tremendously and I wish my life and everything in it wasn’t so tore up right now. Unwise I could make it to the viewing and the funeral but financially I am not able to do so.

I have known Lou for approximately 26 yrs. Before Alice came along, I really didn’t know who Lou was. I ran the Friday Night Shuffleboard Tournaments 4 bout 15 yrs and there would be some nights where we saw Lou’s Yankee Attitude, but of course us Southern Women knows what to do when this happens.

Cont’d from previous comment from Diane Carter: One night Lou came over to me and he started looking over my Tournament Sheet and I said, “Lou Lou, what seems to be the problem?” He started to tell me what to do when you have a odd# of players and I said “OH REALLY”. I said who is running this tournament, me or you? Well, he started in on me and said I was cheating, etc. I said, I am going to forget what just came out of your Yankee Ass Mouth. Of course he blew up and stomped out, well as most of you know Alice usually went to my house on Friday nights. Well, the next morning me and Alice was eating breakfast at my house and she said, well guess I better call Lou and see if he is up.

Cont’d from previous comment from Diane Carter: 3rd: I said Alice, tell him not to even drive down my road today!!!! So, she did and it wasn’t just a few minutes I got a phone call from none other than “Lou Lou”. He said, u can’t stop me from driving down your road and I said u want to bet? He said, Diane we have been friends way to long for us to be like this with one another. I said, I guess u r a “Damn Yankee” now. I said, I knew u would come around to my way of thinking. From then on I knew for certain how to treat my dear ole friend.

Cont’d from previous comment from Diane Carter: 4th: He was a true Veteran in my eyes. Then when I had my stroke, he and Alice would bring me spaghetti dinners to prime rib dinners. Lou was a dear dear friend to me. I loved him just like my own Daddy. He will be greatly missed. Love u Lou Lou and I will see you in Heaven one of these days, so save me a place round the Shuffleboard table.
