She was also known for answering your call, being reliable, a great cook, playing guitar, and singing. She enjoyed reading the Bible daily, gardening, listening to music, creating art, and working on projects to make her home nice. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved traveling, especially to see her daughter and family in Virginia, and then Florida when they moved. She took great pride in everything she did. She worked at Brown’s Packing Company Holly Brand Meats until her retirement. After retirement she continued spending time with all of her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to listen to live music, and karaoke.  She loved trying new foods, and was adventurous. Even in her last years with us, no matter rain or shine, she always looked forward to going to church. One of her favorite parts of church was doing the worksheets from the bible study class that she loved; they were conducted by her nephew Dewayne. She loved to hear Brother Kelly preach. She also enjoyed watching Church of Christ Pastor Dennis Carrow on Sunday mornings.

We love you mom!!! (((hugs))) and (((kisses))) from all of us… Thank you…

I have known Katy from being a teenager. My family their family went to Chicago to work I would go up in summer. And I got to go visit Katy. Enjoyed those visits. Over years we would meet at school reunions. Always got big hug. Last time I saw Katy, not to long ago. And got that hug. And Katy always had beautiful nails. I said let me those nails. Yep still as pretty as ever. May you Rest In Peace Katy and Stroll Over Heaven with Jesus ❤️
