Melvin “Dan” Wilroy, 74

Melvin “Dan” Wilroy, 74, of Heber Springs, passed away March 20, 2020. He was born May 30, 1945 in West Helena, Arkansas to the late Melvin Dan Wilroy and Thelma Inez Burns-Wilroy.

Dan honorably served in the US Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He was of Baptist faith and enjoyed spending his time as a mechanic, fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a member of his local VFW Post #3543.

Dan is preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Thelma Wilroy.

Dan leaves behind his loving wife of 37 years Eileen Wilroy; his daughters Donna Renee Hollmann (Harry), Laurie Lynne Garza (Russell), and Yvette Hale; his son Melvin Dan Wilroy, Jr; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen greatgrandchildren; brother Ervin Wayne Wilroy; and his special friends Wayne Adams and Diana Green.

In light of current public health concerns, Dan’s Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 South Workman Mill Road, Whittier, California. His family is very grateful for your understanding, support and prayers in this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, Dan’s family is requesting donations be made in his honor to the Heber Springs Human Society.

    Im so sorry for your guy’s loss. I have nothing but good memories of Dan , he always treated me so loving and kind growing up.
